Great Job at the State Tournament

The team presented very well. You all would have been proud of the dialogue they used. The model supported them well, congratulations to the whole team. Thanks to the Remmen family, the Dunn family, the Standard family, and the Starr family for having someone from your family cheer on the students. Thanks also to the Skimas family for letting Jacob go as well. Thanks also to Bob for coming up on a Saturday to fix the monorail system and to get ideas for next year. Celebration party on Wednesday!

Ten days to go

Our name is on the program for the state competition on January 23rd. Our city and its narrative have both been submitted. We have lost points by not submitting the research essay, but we can still score points from our model and presentation.

Our modeller group kept working while the presenters practiced and created. Use the comment section for your discussion and questions concerning the presentation. Homework is for each of you in the presentation group to create dialogue that cover as many of the requirements as possible. We will select the best of the best and finalize the script. Please bring your dialogue digitally or emailed. Thanks.

Our future city has arrived in Seattle

The SimCity Ra'ash is now in the hands of the judges. It arrived this morning at 5:30. Congratulations again to Jacob for finishing on time. Thanks for the extra time you spent over the break.

Deadline push

We still have work left on the written pieces. Please, please get them to me by 3:00 Friday so that I can overnight them to Seattle. Same thing with the finished city. We need to send a flash drive or CD with your whole region.

Let's get that stuff in the mail soon.

Don't forget the permission slips for the trip. See you soon!

We have city!!

Got this note from Jacob today:
Happy New Year! Ra'Ash is complete with population at 51,000+ and over 160 years old. Now Jacob is adding some finishing touches and going more "green".
